Hayama Shiosai Park

Hayama Shiosai Park has a Japanese garden, a museum, a tea house, etc. The museum exhibits marine life found in Sagami Bay, including specimens presented by the Emperor Showa.

The park was established on the site of the former Hayama Imperial Villa and has a beautiful Japanese garden full of Japanese atmosphere.

The Japanese garden, with a borrowed view of Migaoka, a pond with Nishikigoi carp, a “fukei” waterfall with a drop of 3 meters, a tea house, and a forest of black pine trees attract visitors and allow them to feel the vestiges of the days of the imperial villa attached to the Imperial Villa.

Visitors can walk through the forest of black pines while listening to the sea breezes, and enjoy a panoramic view of the ocean from the Pago Terrace.

It is a wonderful place to be healed by the beautiful scenery, fresh sea breeze, and pleasant tides.

For a break, go to the lawn area overlooking Sagami Bay. If you are lucky, you may even be able to see Mt.

This place was leased free of charge by the Ministry of Finance and the Imperial Household Agency, and you can feel its history. Taking a break with a cup of green tea is also recommended.

Hayama Shiosai Museum

There is a museum in the park, which is free to enter, and exhibits marine organisms living in Sagami Bay as its theme.

Fish, shellfish, crustaceans, and seaweeds that inhabit the sea around Hayama are displayed in the museum, and the Emperor Showa’s collection and exhibits of deep-sea life are especially valuable and cannot be found anywhere else.
